S. Martin's at Hotel Faro

On S. Martin's day by invitation of the restaurant Hotel Faro and in partnership with Quinta dos Vales a lunch was served prepared by Chef Alberto with chestnut as the centrepiece and accompanied by the wines of Quinta dos Vales.

Around 70 people enjoyed a well prepared lunch "around the chestnut" in which the wines of Quinta dos Vales proved excellent companions. Amongst the participants were some well-known personalities of the institutions of the regional administration of the Algarve and Faro, including Paulo dos Santos Neves (former President of Região de Turismo do Algarve) e Carlos Cruz (of CCDR Algarve). The participants were very pleased not only with the stunning view over the Ria Formosa of this special location, but also with the delicacies and the excellent matching Algarve wines. Certainly it will not be the last theme lunch to take place, where the future holds many surprising events revolving around good food and wine, where art will surely not be lacking.

Hotel Faro partnered with Quinta dos Vales to create a unique gastronomic
experience for a different Saint Martin's day...

Menu:
Chestnut cream with fresh cream heart
Cherry Chicken with chestnuts and herbs
Sauté of chestnuts and red fruits with "jeropiga, honney and sweet herb

Dessert:
Roasted chestnuts and "água pé"

Quinta dos Vales will supply the wines throughout lunch.

Photoshoot Frenzy in Quinta dos Vales

The latest PHOTOSHOOT FRENZY event took place at Quinta dos Vales
yesterday from 10am to sunset, bringing together models and
photographers for photo sessions throughout the day in our beautiful
vineyard sceneries enjoying an amazing weather. FRENZY is a networking
event bringing together people from the fashion industry for a day of
fun doing something they all love and enjoy. Models gain new photos to
expand their portfolio and photographers get the opportunity to unleash
their creativeness working with a large variety of models. Lunch was
served by published Chef Pedro Mendes from Dolphin restaurant in Praia

Cacela Velha's Autumn Market

The Autumn market in Cacela Velha started off a little grey, with an overcast sky, but the radiant sun quickly came out for a sunny afternoon along with a pleasant breeze. Over 600 people visited and purchased the products in this market where aromas and flavors were mingled, Quinta dos Vales offered over 200 tastings of its delicious nectars. We were very satisfied to meet several visitors of the "Open Door 5", which took place last week in Estombar, in this quiet village and who remained loyal customers. We'll be back for the next market in Cacela Velha!

Cacela Velha's Autumn Market

Quinta dos Vales will participate in another of Cacela Velha's markets.
On October 23rd, this coming Sunday, you can visit us at this beautiful
location between 10:00am and 5:00pm, and purchase our wines at special
prices, you will also be able to try some of our newest releases. There

Porta Aberta 5 /-/ Open Door 5

O "Porta Aberta 5" que teve lugar no passado fim de semana foi mais uma
vez um grande sucesso, tendo o número de visitantes atingido quase os
2000. Durante os dois dias do evento os visitantes puderam desfrutar das
provas de vinho gratuitas bem como degustar os vários produtos regionais
expostos no recinto e ainda vislumbrar os mais recentes projectos
artísticos da Quinta dos Vales e apreciar os vários momento de animação
com Show Cooking do Chef Augusto Lima e abertura de uma garrafa com fogo
e decantação com O Escanção Hermínio Rebelo e ainda os momentos musicais
de Adelino Aderneira e, no Domingo, o Rancho Folclórico do Calvário. O
nosso muito obrigado aos produtores locais bem como aos alunos do Curso
de Mesa e Bar do Algoz,que nos acompanharam nestes dois dias e um
agradecimento especial à ADR Quinta de S. Pedro que providenciou o
serviço de bar no local. A próxima edição deste evento terá lugar no 3º
fim de semana de Março como já é habitual. Mais uma vez obrigado a todos
os que nos visitaram!

The "Open Door 5" which took place this past weekend was a great success
once again with the number of visitors reaching almost 2000. During the
two day event visitors could enjoy free wine tastings and sample the
various local produce on display through the farm while catching a
glimpse of the most recent Quinta dos Vales' art projects and enjoy the
varied entertainment with Chef Augusto Lima's Show Cooking and the
opening of a bottle by fire and decanting with Sommelier Hermínio Rebelo
and the musical moments of Adelino Aderneira and Rancho Folclórico do
Calvário, on Sunday. Our big thank you to the local producers and the
students Curso de Mesa e Bar do Algoz, who accompanied us during these
two days, a special thanks to ADR Quinta de S. Pedro, who provided the
bar service on site. This event's next edition will take place on the
3rd weekend in March as usual. Thanks again to all who visited us!
